Public BBQ

Ross Sayers Reserve forms part of the foreshore Lions Park complex, featuring excellent barbecue facilities, extensive table space for large families or functions, and beautiful water views. The reserve includes fitness equipment along the foreshore walking track, playground access, skate park, public toilets, and good parking. With boat ramp access, clean beach facilities, and picnic tables, it serves as an excellent coastal family gathering spot near the lakefront walking trail.

You should first check with Wellington council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
